Melissa's Story: It's Not The Cards Dealt, But How You Play Them

What makes me a beautiful disaster is I’m not scared to admit my wrongs. Everyday I work on being a better and stronger person - all of what I’ve been through is a lesson. Every failed relationship everything I’ve been threw has made me a stronger person.  

As this year comes to an end, I want to show how much I’m grateful for the ups and the downs this past year has brought. It’s been hard and life changing to say the least. The beginning of this year I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis which has lead me to change everything in my life. I started with my diet I’ve been dairy free and gluten free which has helped me lose 85 pounds. Now, my main focus is building my strength back up and building the best life for myself and my children. I know I will have my good days and my bad days, and everything is a lesson. I will continue to learn from those lessons and grow to be the best version of myself for MYSELF and my FAMILY. 

This brand stands for me. Strength when I’m feeling weak. Brave when I’m feeling scared. Loved when I feel lonely. Grateful when I know they are others who are here for me. 

My favorite collections are Lion and Warrior. There are so many that mean a lot to me, I symbolize with each one in some way. I love the strength I feel when I wear each piece. The warrior collection was there when I needed it. Having MS makes me a MS warrior pushing through all the pain that I go through on a daily. My best friend had cystic fibrosis and I’ll always remember this tattoo he had on him and the saying “it’s not the cards dealt, but how you play them” which is why the warrior collection makes me feel powerful when I wear this collection.
