Emily's Story: Lifting Each Other Up
Almost 6 years ago, my ex fiance tried to kill me. The police wouldn't do anything, so in order to save my life, I had to leave everything behind, move 1000 miles away and start my life over from scratch. It's been a hard journey, but also a rewarding one. I am no longer homeless, although I can't afford to do more than rent a room from a very generous woman. I have a good job and a crappy car now. I'm able to afford groceries instead of having to use the food banks. And I finally was able to buy my own clothes this past summer, instead of only relying on the donated clothes people had given me when I first got here.
Unfortunately, I still can only afford to shop at places like Walmart or thrift stores, but one day I do hope to be able to buy items from your brand. I absolutely love the concept. I am a form believer that women should be lifting each other up instead of tearing each other down. If it hadn't been for the kindness and generosity of women I didn't even know, I would probably still be on the streets. I have a long way to go, but I have come so far already, I know I can do it.
I just discovered your brand. I was actually on Instagram when I saw the video of you going to deliver clothes to one of your favorite customers who wasn't doing too well. Your love and kindness towards her made me cry and I went to look at the website to see what you were all about. When I saw your mission, I knew you were one of my people and this brand was something to be proud of.

What a great testimony! I agree with the statement women should build each other up, not tear one another down. Unfortunately the latter happens much more often. I must sadly say that at one time in my life i considered other women competition.
I wake up one morning saying to myself, “competing for what?!the asshole who doesn’t deserve you? The jewelry and clothes you can’t afford?”today im in no competition with anyone. I love building up and supporting other women to achieve.
Champagne taste on a beer mans budget through rose-colored glasses is delusional. You are doing life humbly and gracefully one foot in front of the other and do the next right thing
